What Is Coaching?

The work I do falls under the category of life coach and overlaps some with what a mental health therapist does. I don’t tell people what to do, but I support them through whatever they are going through, providing suggestions as needed.

Is Coaching a Type of Therapy?

Coaching is not meant to replace the work of trained therapist, and would be counterindicated in the case of a severe clinical issue such as bipolar disorder or severe clinical depression. That said, much of the work that I do

Who Hires a Life Coach?

People hire life coaches for various reasons. People who would hire me are generally are looking for support for things like depression, their marriage, religious trauma,
or processing their own or a family member’s experience as a member of the LGBTQ community.

How much does it cost to use your services?

A lot less than therapy! I don’t charge for the first session, and I am willing to discuss bundles as well as a sliding scale for low-income clients during that session, so please do not let cost be a factor.
